Suzuki Philippines president Koichiro Hirao welcomed the dealers, motoring media, content creators, and a horde of Burgman fans to the Market! Market! atrium as the all-new Suzuki Burgman 15 was unveiled. The launch, the first in the ASEAN region, was eagerly awaited as the completion of the iconic Burgman lineup. The 15 finally joining the Burgman Street, Burgman EX, and Burgman 400.
As part of the intentional innovation, it gets bigger 14-inch wheels. There are 110/80 tires at the front and 130/70 at the rear. The Philippine domestic market version is so far the only one specified with a tire-pressure monitoring system and factory-installed base mount to easily attach a top box. Both are thoughtful and convenient features.

What other markets share are the traction control, dual-channel Bosch ABS on dual disc brakes, twin rear shocks with sub-tank, triple LED headlights and taillights, and intelligent key system that all come as standard equipment.

The 149cc single-cylinder, two-valve, SOHC engine is fuel-injected, and it makes 14.2hp and 14.2Nm of torque. Transistor electronic ignition and liquid-cooling makes for a reliable touring bike. The seat height is lower than the 125cc Burgman’s, making it a comfortable commuting scooter. There’s a big underseat compartment that can accommodate most helmet sizes and is equipped with a USB-C charging port. There’s another Type-C port inside the covered glove box.


The seats are uber comfortable with a variety of leg positions possible. The full-color TFT display is bright and easy to read with its day and night modes. The hazard lights and turn signals are LEDs all around. The conveniently located covered gas tank has a capacity of eight liters. With the manufacturer claiming 43.5km/L, it can get a decent 348 kilometers of range.
With its suite of features, the Burgman 15 does stand out in its class, and it’s available now for P165,000. Thoughts on this new Suzuki scooter, folks?
