More Filipino riders have just brought glory to our country on the global stage: Team MXMessiah’s Joshua Tamayo has just won the 2025 Wiseco 2-Stroke World Motocross Championship.

The races were held at the world-famous Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California. Astride his 85cc 2023 GasGas MC, Tamayo won both races in the 85cc B Class. During the first heat or ‘moto,’ he pulled a good start, and after a few passes on the front of the grid, he led every lap for the win. In the second moto, Tamayo started in P3 and eventually worked his way into the lead for a perfect finish.

“I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for keeping me safe. I can’t believe I did it,” said Joshua in an interview after the race. “To be honest, I felt I could win after I was able to get P3 and knew the pace of my competition when I raced last weekend during the 3rd Round of the Saturday at the Glen Spring Series. I still can’t believe I won the race.”

Team MxMessiah is led by Joshua’s father and renowned off-road guru Coach Sam Tamayo. The team is sponsored by Dans, Synermaxx Corporation, Tatakan, Shell Advance, and Factory Connection Suspension.

Congratulations, Joshua and the rest of Team MxMessiah!
