Kamote behavior is all over the Internet these days. And it seems like no matter how many times these riders get called out, one kamote just sprouts after the other.
Yamaha Motor Philippines is looking to contribute to the discussion and promote road safety in its own way by launching its new anti-kamote campaign featuring the Yamaha Mio Gravis and with the slogan: ‘The Sensible Choice.’

YMPH hosted a premiere of its new campaign at the SM Megamall joined by celebrities and social media personalities Tito Mikee and Kiko Matos, who participated in YMPH’s new Ridecast. The two discussed the importance of driving and riding safely on public roads and shared valuable tips and insights for fellow road users.
YMPH also brought in famous content creator and chef Ninong Ry to join the campaign. He wasn’t riding, though, as he was asked to cook—you guessed it—kamote. He gave his own spin on sweet potato, creating a new dish that makes use of the root crop as the main ingredient: kamote cheesecake.

“In a world where chaos too often dominates the streets, maturity is more than just a mindset, it’s a lifestyle. As road congestion increases, and the behavior of motorcycle riders become more reckless and aggressive, safety becomes a personal responsibility. With this, smart choices become more important than ever.
“Mio Gravis stands as the sensible choice, an ideal motorcycle for riders who prioritize safety, reliability, and performance. It embodies a forward-thinking approach to mobility, empowering riders to make smarter, and mindful decisions on the road. With cutting-edge features, refined design, and consistent performance, Mio Gravis is a perfect match for riders who value both performance and practicality as it seamlessly blends innovation with everyday functionality.
“Yamaha is committed to setting a new standard by championing a more mindful approach to riding. Mio Gravis stands as a sensible choice for mature, responsible riders, contributing to the broader goal of cultivating a road culture centered around respect, responsibility, and innovation. This encourages Filipino riders to shift gears and adopt a mindset that prioritizes maturity and safety in every ride. Because the true power on the road lies not in reckless ways, but in riding with purpose.”
