It’s finally here, ladies and gents. Arguably the most anticipated bike Yamaha has launched in quite a while, the all-new PG-1, is officially in the Philippines. Yes, this time it’s official.
The PG-1 lands in our market bearing its retro and almost quirky design, looking ready to hit the trails. There’s a round headlamp up front, round accents on the side plastic trim, and spoked wheels with knobby tires as standard.

Speaking of wheels and tires, the PG-1 sits on 16-inch front and rear wheels both shod in 90/100-16 M/C tube tires. It’s fitted with a telescopic fork up front and a swinger out back. A single hydraulic disc brake up front and a drum brake at the rear handle stopping power.

As for the powertrain, it gets a 114cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 8.88hp at 7,000rpm and 9.5Nm at 5,500rpm. The Yamaha PG-1 also boasts a ground clearance of 190mm and has a 795mm (31.29 inches) listed seat height. It weighs a mere 107kg when wet and has a 5.1-liter fuel tank.
