"This automotive lifestyle demand calls for the influx of new aftermarket options by brand of vehicle which eventually leads to more varied customization styles for the car owners and future car owners," Tradeshow International president Sophie de los Santos said. "This creates a niche market called the 'auto fashionistas'--car enthusiasts who buy cars based on lifestyle needs and Manila Auto Salon serves as the main avenue for growth of this niche market."

The Manila Auto Show was created to house the Custom Car Show and Sport Truck Show, both of which are now on their 14th year, under one roof. Patterned after the Tokyo Auto Salon and the recently concluded Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, TSI decided its membership with the America-based group was only fitting for the Manila Auto Salon to be mounted in the same vein.

The 2009 Manila Auto Salon runs until November 29. The exhibition hall is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
