What’s better than a luxurious seven-seater luxury van like the Lexus LM? Why, a six-seater version of it, of course.
Lexus has just introduced the new six-seat variant in its home market of Japan. Dubbed the Executive L trim, it was designed to ensure all passengers enjoy their time inside the vehicle. Basically, this is the four-seater LM that gets an additional third row.

It may sound quite odd when we put it like that, and you might wonder: “How different is it from the seven-seater?” Well, this one has the niceties of the top-spec four-seater. It has captain seats in the second row complete with butterfly headrests, Ottomans, power adjustability—the works. There’s also a split sunroof up top and a large monitor for rear-cabin passengers. Dedicated control panels are also available in each of the two captain seats at the back.
The third row, meanwhile, promises a comfortable experience with the thick seatbacks and cushions. The shape of the seat has also been optimized to help occupants maintain a more natural posture when reclining. There’s also a dedicated tray with USB-C ports out back. These rearmost seats can also be folded up when not in use to open up more luggage space or more room for second-row occupants.

Outside of the host of changes inside the cabin, Lexus has made no such tweaks to the exterior, so this one still looks the same as the standard LM. No changes can be seen under the hood as well, so there’s still the 2.4-liter turbo-hybrid setup there.
