The all-new BMW X3 is now out. The German carmaker launched the vehicle just this evening, and it boasts a striking new design, more efficient powertrain, and a handful of added comfort and convenience features.
According to SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation president Maricar Parco, the latest iteration of the X3 is a model that will add "immense appeal" to the company's already impressive lineup. "Today’s launch exhibits how the third-generation BMW X3 mirrors the BMW brand’s ultimate promise of Sheer Driving Pleasure," she said.
We can see what she means by that. The intricate three-dimensional kidney grille and new hexagonal fog lamps really capture your attention, as do the sleek roofline and sporty accents like the rear's twin exhaust tailpipes. The xDrive20d xLine variant looks great, thanks to aluminum bits and nice 19-inch alloy wheels. But the cream of the crop is the M Sport model with its extra aero. Overall, it's a dynamic and muscular look that fans of the brand would appreciate.
The interior is just as impressive. The company maintains its driver-friendly layout, but makes the cabin even more plush with an elegant new trim and premium materials all around. One nice bit is the ambient lighting, which nicely complements the atmosphere. There's also a three-zone climate system, convenient 40:20:40 folding seats, and the latest BMW iDrive system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display.
Powering the all-new X3 is a 2.0-liter TwinPower tubodiesel engine capable of up to 190hp and 400Nm. Shifting duties will be handled by an eight-speed automatic transmission, and drivers will have the option to take control with paddle shifters. It also runs on BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
Below are the prices and variants:
* X3 xDrive20d xLine – P4,390,000
* X3 xDrive20d M Sport – P4,590,000
If sportiness, practicality and premium quality are aspects of a car that matter to you, the third-generation X3 ticks all of those boxes. It should be worth checking out if you can afford it.
