Coventry Motors Corporation, Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) official Philippine distributor, is beefing up its lineup with the launch of the all-new Range Rover Evoque. The versatile compact SUV was introduced to the local market earlier tonight featuring larger dimensions, added capability, more sophistication, and a mild-hybrid powertrain.
The all-new Evoque is longer, wider, and taller than its predecessor, allowing it to wade through waters up to 600mm high (the previous model could only wade up to 500mm). The added height is further accentuated by large 20-inch wheels. Those dimensions, combined with the nameplate’s signature coupe-like silhouette and modern design elements like retracting door handles and sleek light designs, make it one of the most attractive vehicles in its class.
Land Rover’s new ‘Premium Transverse Architecture,’ on which the all-new AWD Evoque is built upon, also allows the SUV to accommodate both plug-in and mild-hybrid setups. In the Philippines, you can have the Evoque with either a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine capable of 178hp and 430Nm, a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline with 247hp and 365Nm, or a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline mild hybrid setup with 296hp and 400Nm. All setups come mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, occupants are met by a minimalist interior with more room compared to the previous-generation Evoque, as well as comfortable perforated leather seats. There’s a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and music is put out through a premium 10-speaker Meridian sound system across all models.
Extra features include Terrain Response technology, a rear traffic monitor, Park Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and a Driver Condition Monitor, among others. Below are the official prices and variants of the all-new Range Rover Evoque:
“Underneath the skin is an engineering and technical revolution. The new chassis makes the most of the stiffer body, ensuring the characteristic ride comfort and refinement of a Range Rover,” says JLR executive director of product engineering Nick Rogers. The Evoque is now smarter than ever. The software that sits behind our infotainment system has been refined to provide a more intuitive customer experience,” he adds.
Add an extra P100,000 to any of the three R-Dynamic variants and you can get the Evoque in Black Limited Edition. All purchases also come with a five-year service plan. Interested?
