Bentley has confirmed that it is adding a fourth model to its lineup and that it\'s none other than its first SUV, affirming what German news site Handelsblatt.com reported in February.
\"Bentley fans all around the world are looking forward to the brand’s first SUV,\" said Volkswagen Group board chairman Martin Winterkorn. \"Together, we will make this new Bentley another true Bentley--powerful, exclusive and successful.\" The Volkswagen Group acquired Bentley from its previous owner, Vickers, in 1998.
To be made at Bentley\'s Crewe factory in the UK, the SUV is slated to go on sale in 2016. According to the British luxury carmaker, the still-unnamed SUV will bear \"the brand hallmarks of luxury, performance, quality and craftsmanship.\"
Bentley also claims that its SUV will be the most luxurious and most powerful SUV in the market and that its styling \"will set it apart from any other SUV on the road\" and will stay true to the brand\'s design DNA.
Does this mean the Bentley SUV will sport the design of the concept model unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show?
