Brands have come out and showed out at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show. BYD, for one, has brought out its whole lineup, and it gives us a glimpse of what could be to come in our market.
While the Atto 2 and the Denza D9 caught our attention first, we also noticed another model that could be a viable option in the Philippines: The Sealion 7. It’s the fully electric Sealion, far different from the one we currently have in our market.

It borrows the styling of its siblings, with a Seagull-like front fascia and an Atto 3-like rear end. As with its stablemates, it has a very clean-looking design overall. The cabin is very familiar, as it also shares interior bits and pieces with other BYD models.

2025 Bangkok International Motor Show highlights:
In markets where it’s sold, the Sealion 7 comes in all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive configurations. The former does a total of 523hp and 690Nm of torque, while the latter puts out 308hp and 380Nm. Both have the same 82.5kWh BYD Blade Battery allowing 542km of range for the AWD and 567km for the RWD variant.
With the way BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility have been aggressively pushing the Chinese brand in our market, we can definitely see the possibility of the Sealion 7 coming to our shores. What do you guys think? Does this have a spot in BYD’s local lineup?
