Apparently, giving Volvo's S90 and V90 the Polestar treatment was just the tip of the iceberg. An appetizer, if we may say so. As for the main course? Feast your eyes on the Swedish carmaker's stunning new R-Design S90 and V90.
The new Volvo S90 and V90 R-Design models are distinguished by their new front fascia with integrated spoiler. The fog lights are made even more prominent with a new grille and matte finish on both front and rear ends. The look is completed by a matte-black, diamond-cut wheel design that matches the dynamic demeanor.
The cabin is likewise made even more special thanks to the R-Design steering wheel, seats, accent pieces, and a specially designed and detailed illumination package. This unique yet sporty flavor promises to offer the trademarks of the luxurious Volvo interior with the secure and snug feeling of a true sport sedan and wagon.
While no mechanical details were revealed as of press time, Volvo did point out that the new R-Design trims will come with a Sport Chassis that is set to deliver an "energetic, road-hugging drive."
Knowing how Volvo has tuned its cars in the past--R-Design models included--we’re certain that the S90 and V90 R-Design edition will live up to the hype. Of course, the only way to confirm this is through a proper drive. But that’s another story altogether.
