More photos of GAC Motor’s new plug-in hybrid off-roader have been revealed. This is the GAC Yue 7, and it’s a full-size SUV with seriously rugged looks. Similar to the Jetour T2, the design seems to follow the same formula as the Land Rover Defender and the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. What features can we expect?
The exterior has that modern off-roader styling we’ve mentioned. There’s black plastic cladding on the doors and bumpers to help protect the paint when you kick up rock and debris. There’s also a rear-mounted spare tire, LED lights front and back, and chunky all-terrain tires.
The Yue 7 has a modern and premium interior, but is still very much off-road-focused. You get soft-touch materials, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a wide head-up display, and a triple-gauge setup with your compass and tilt meters. There are also customizable auxiliary switches for enthusiasts to add accessories such as light bars and recovery gear. The cabin can fit five people, while the back seats fold down for added storage capacity.

As for the powertrain, we can expect a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with two electric motors hooked to either a 28.3kWh or 46kWh battery. Power output is expected at around 536hp from the electric motors and 168hp from the engine. Fuel economy hasn’t been specified, but the maximum full-electric range is rated at 188km.
