It didn’t take too long for this Korean luxury car to reach our shores. At the 2017 Manila International Auto Show, the Genesis G90 full-size sedan was unveiled and took a spot at the Hyundai booth. The G90 is the flagship product of Genesis Motors, the Seoul-based company’s luxury arm.
A new player going against the Audi A8, the BMW 7-Series, the Lexus LS and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the G90 has a suggested retail price of P7,528,000. That’s a competitive price, being only P110,000 more expensive than the LS460.
Said to exude “athletic elegance,” the full-size sedan’s winged Genesis badge and massive grille greet you up front. Its 19-inch wheels complete the look of sophistication.
Inside, the G90 offers its passengers privacy and luxury with its double soundproof glass, ample space, nappa leather and hardwoods. It has a 12.3-inch multimedia and navigation system, two 9.2-inch monitors with integrated control dials for its rear occupants, and a multi-view camera.
Under the hood is a 5.0-liter GDI Tau V8 engine that gives the car athleticism with 425 horses and 519Nm. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic. Different driving modes are available: Smart, Eco, Sport and Individual. Safety and driver-assistance features include nine airbags, lane-departure assist, blind-spot detection, and front and rear sensors.
This new premium sedan is available in Onyx Black and Marble White paint jobs.
