In recent years, carmakers have continued to up their game when it comes to safety, and it’s been quite evident in many different ways. For one, newer cars are now equipped with more advanced safety tech as standard.
Crash tests are also good barometers of how automakers have put more and more emphasis on safety. Just take a look at Hyundai and the all-new Palisade. Back in 2022, the previous-gen SUV got a four-star safety rating from the Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). Now, ANCAP has given the next-gen model five stars out of five.

The all-new Palisade passed with flying colors across the four tests, which were namely: adult occupant protection (AOP), child occupant protection (COP), vulnerable road user protection (VRUP), and safety assist.

For AOP, the Palisade got 33.9 pounds out of a possible 40 or 84%, 42.57 out of 49 or 86% for COP, and 44.97 out of 63 or 71% for VRUP. It also got 13.27 out of 18, or 73% for safety assist.
A noteworthy bit from the report is how well the Palisade did in the full-width frontal impact test. The Palisade scored 7.89 points out of a total possible 8. The SUV also provided excellent protection for children, whether in the frontal offset or the side impact test.

Of course, the Palisade also comes equipped with some of the best advanced driver-assist systems, which is why the high points in Safety Assist don’t come as a surprise. You’ll see (sort of) some of these features in action through the photos below.
Anyhoo, that’s that. What do you guys think of these latest results for the Palisade?
