The photo you see above was posted by an officer of Chevrolet Philippines, Rosel de Guzman, on his personal Facebook page sometime last night, with the caption: \"People of the Philippines...the long wait is over!\" The car in the photo is the all-new Chevrolet Malibu midsize sedan, a car that competes with the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord in the US market.

Curious as to what he meant by the post, we asked him: \"Are you launching the car soon?\"

His reply: \"No plans yet, but we might display it at the Motorama event in November.\"

We asked another question: \"What\'s the engine?\"

His answer: \"2.4-liter gasoline.\"

So there. A company official has said there\'s a chance this car could be presented to the public in November. That tells us Chevrolet Philippines is seriously mulling the possibility of selling it in our market. Let\'s cross our fingers, then. This should be a nice alternative to the executive sedans we\'ve grown accustomed to, don\'t you think?

In the meantime, feast your eyes upon the sleek exterior of the all-new Malibu...
