The Isuzu D-Max has been one of the biggest mainstays of the automotive industry over the years. A few months back at the Philippine International Motor Show, the pickup got a subtle facelift to go along with a few interior updates. Now, Isuzu Philippines (IPC) is adding a new variant to this recently refreshed stable.
Specifically, it’s a new entry-level trim of the midsize truck: the Isuzu D-Max LS 4x2 AT. It’s now the most affordable automatic variant of the D-Max priced at P1.699 million. It’s also the only one with an RZ4E engine but without a stick shift.

As mentioned, this is powered by Isuzu’s famed 1.9-liter RZ4E Blue Power turbodiesel that puts out 148hp and 350Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. It comes only as a 4x2.

The interior is untouched, so you still get the same layout as before. There’s still a 10.1-inch infotainment as standard, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Rear A/C vents are available. Parking aids, meanwhile, include a reversing camera.

“We understand that our customers today are taking on many roles, from building their careers and businesses to providing for their families and pursuing the things that allow them to live a fuller life,” said IPC president Mikio Tsukui. “The New Isuzu D-Max LS 4x2 AT is designed to support them through these different aspects of life, giving them the versatility they need while delivering the toughness, reliability, and ownership confidence they expect from Isuzu.”
Until December 31, 2026, IPC is offering this new D-Max variant at an introductory price of P1.549 million. What do you guys think of this one? The comments section is open.
