After teasing its upcoming electric vehicle at the recently concluded PIMS, Omoda and Jaeco Philippines has now officially launched the all-new J5 EV.
The Jaecoo J5 EV is a competitively priced electrified subcompact crossover. The lone variant stickers for P1.399 million, putting it right around the territory of many currently available plug-in hybrid SUVs in our market.

The J5 EV is powered by a single electric motor that produces 208hp and 288Nm of torque. It’s equipped with a 58.9kWh battery, and it promises a maximum range of up to 461km on a single charge.

The Jaecoo J5 EV is fitted with plenty of black plastics on the inside, with a touch of soft-touch materials here and there. There’s a vertically positioned 13.2-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The J5 also comes equipped with advanced driver-assist features including lane-departure warning and lane-keep assist, forward-collision with autonomous emergency braking, rear-collision warning, and adaptive cruise control.
The Jaecoo J5 EV comes with a seven-year/200,000km warranty. The EV battery, meanwhile, gets an eight-year/160,000km warranty. Every purchase comes with a 7kW wallbox charger.
