Following the series of teasers posted on Jetour’s social media pages, the Chinese automaker has formally revealed its upcoming model to be the Jetour S08 i-DM. Also known as the Jetour X70L in other markets, it was previously spotted in the Department of Energy’s list of recognized EVs.
Jetour has also opened reservations for the S08 i-DM in a new social media post. The brand attaches the tagline ‘Experience Luxury Made for the Family’ for the SUV, likely referencing its seven-seater capacity.

The reservation form states that a P50,000 pre-launch discount is available for customers ready to place their orders early. Jetour notes that its representatives will get in touch with customers opting into the discount to guide them through the formal reservation process. The SUV’s regular price was not listed, however. Odd.

The form also asks for customers’ preferences between four color options available for their Jetour S08 i-DM: Azure Grey, Morning Mist, Midnight Black, and Stream Silver. As of writing, photos to illustrate these paint finishes were not included.
While Jetour has not explicitly indicated the S08 i-DM as a replacement for the X70 Lightning i-DM, its standing as a seven-seater plug-in hybrid means the former could fulfill a similar role as the latter.
Regardless, the S08 i-DM is set to further reinforce Jetour’s strong performance in the PHEV segment. With reservations currently open, the SUV’s official launch is likely approaching in the coming weeks.
