After making noise back in April and May by opening reservations for its upcoming EVs, JMC Philippines has finally brought out its maiden lineup of electric offerings. We wrote about them previously as the JMEV 2 and JMEV 3, but they’re now officially called the JMC EV2 and EV3.
And as expected, these little hatches are going up against the likes of the BYD Seagull, the Jetour Ice Cream, and the Dongfeng Nanobox—all of which come in at under P1 million. To make things more interesting, JMC has undercut all of those aforementioned EVs, with its EV2 starting at just P668,000.

What does that competitive price get you? As previously reported, the EV2 packs a 26kW motor and delivers a range of 201km. After its official launch last week, we now know that it rides on 14-inch alloy blade wheels, and what JMC calls a ‘high-strength body’ that’s reinforced with anti-collision beams. The EV2 also comes with basic safety features like ABS, hill-start assist, and a tire-pressure monitoring system, to name a few.
The bigger and more powerful EV3 is still priced cheaper than a BYD Seagull, stickered for just P788,000. It rides on that same high-strength body as the EV2, but in a larger form factor. That extra real estate is for the stronger 50kW motor and a bigger battery that’s good for 330km. The EV3 comes with the same safety features as the EV2, but adds a 360-degree camera system for even better visibility.
