It’s really hard to go wrong with black when it comes to dressing up cars. Black wheels? Easy. Black wing? Black bumpers? Black grille? Go ahead. Just don’t overdo it, and you’ll be fine.
A good example of that is Lexus’ Black Line Special Edition package, something that the Japanese carmaker has offered across its lineup throughout the years. All the black bits just add pizzazz to what are already beautifully designed cars.
In recent years, the package has made comebacks in models such as the GX. Now, Lexus is bringing it back for the ES, and boy does it look good.

The ES is one of the classier sedans in the Lexus stable. In this Black Line Special Edition trim, the car looks sportier and sexier. It gets Obsidian side mirrors, a black rear spoiler, and a black rocker panel. The car also sits on 19-inch gloss-black F Sport alloy wheels.
This package is exclusive to the ES350 F Sport and is limited to just 1,000 units across North America. It sees no mechanical changes, and is still powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that churns out 302hp at 6,600 rpm and 362Nm of torque at 4,700rpm. This powertrain is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The aesthetic tweaks here aren’t major, but they spice up the look quite nicely. Would you like to see this make its way to our market?
