Mazda reveals all-new 3 hatchback

Mazda has revealed its latest model which will carry the Japanese carmaker\'s \"Kodo, Soul of Motion\" design language. We\'re talking about the all-new 3 hatchback.

As the third model in Mazda\'s lineup to adopt both the new design theme and the company\'s full suite of Skyactiv technologies, the sporty compact hatchback \"will redefine driving pleasure\" when it is launched globally, starting with the North American market later this year.

Taking Mazda\'s \"jinba-ittai\" credo of oneness between the car and its driver, the all-new 3 hatch will introduce a new car connectivity system \"that broadens the scope of that driving experience.\"

The system supposedly features a new interface designed with the highest priority placed on driving safety. A wide range of Mazda\'s i-ActivSense advanced active safety technologies will also aid the driver in recognizing and avoiding road hazards. These include a high-beam control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning system, forward obstruction warning, radar cruise control, and smart city brake support.

The global engine lineup for the all-new Mazda 3 hatchback includes a newly developed 1.5-liter Skyactiv gasoline engine in addition to the 2.0- and 2.5-liter mills and 2.2-liter clean diesel powerplant. A hybrid electric sedan version will also be made available but only for Mazda\'s home country.

According to Mazda, the engine lineup will be optimized for each market \"to meet the diverse needs of a wide variety of customers around the world.\"
