Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has bolstered its pickup stable with a new mid-spec’d Triton. Officially called the Triton GX 2WD AT, it is offered as a more affordable option for those looking for an automatic truck.
Priced at P1.43 million, it comes in at P305,000 less than the next automatic Triton on offer—that being the GLX 2WD variant, stickered for P1.735 million.

However, it still utilizes the same 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel mill, which makes 183hp and 430Nm of torque. As its name suggests, the powertrain on this Triton is then mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, configuring the two-wheel-drive system.

Positioned as a mid-spec variant, the Triton GX packs more features than the base-level GL, but without a few of the bells and whistles you’d find on the GLX. These include a rearview camera system that feeds into an eight-inch touchscreen up front.

This Triton also gets a refreshed look with a new Dynamic Shield grille design. It now features a triangular pattern, as opposed to the horizontal shape on other Triton variants. The wheels are also finished in a different, but simpler pattern with a silver color.
Mitsubishi then offers the Triton GX in the following colors: Blade Silver Metallic, White Diamond, Graphite Gray Metallic, Jet Black Mica, and Red Solid.
