In June, we reported that Mazda Philippines had brought in a handful of new variants for two of its most popular offerings, the Mazda 2 and the CX-9.
They were supposed to make their debut during the Japanese carmaker's annual Zoom Fest at Bonifacio High Street last month. Unfortunately, the event was postponed because of bad weather conditions. Zoom Fest has since been moved to July 27 to 29, so you can check out the vehicles then.
That's more than three weeks from now, we know. But if you've been eyeing the cars for a while already and can't wait until then, we might have something that'll help. We were able to catch a sneak peek of the Mazda 2 Java Edition and the CX-9 Sport Touring variants during the company's annual thanksgiving dinner, and we have plenty of photos.
The Java Edition of the Mazda 2 features an attractive new coffee-colored Titanium Flash paint finish. There will also be a Katana Edition in Machine Gray and a Crimson Edition in Soul Red Crystal if that's more of your thing. The new variant of the CX-9, the Sport Touring, is considerably cheaper at P2,350,000, though it's only FWD and doesn't pack as much niceties. But if you ask us, that price point makes it a pretty attractive package.
Again, Mazda's Zoom Fest has been moved to the end of July. So if you want to catch these cars in the metal, you should definitely drop by.
