Production of the Mazda 6 (called Atenza in Japan) has reached the three-million-unit mark at the end of November 2014--12 years and nine months after the first-generation model was produced in February 2002 at the Japanese carmaker’s Hofu Plant No. 2 in Yamaguchi, Japan.
According to Mazda, the 6 is its second fastest-model to reach the milestone following the 3 compact car, which achieved it in seven years and 10 months.
