The fourth-generation Suzuki Swift was revealed in Japan way back in late 2016. We got our first look at it in the metal at this year's Bangkok International Motor Show, where we learned that the subcompact hatchback would be produced in India and Thailand. Naturally, we got to speculating about our own market, since many of our vehicles are manufactured in the Land of Smiles. Now, the guessing game is over.
Suzuki Philippines has announced that it will indeed be launching the all-new Swift. That's happening on June 27. What we can tell you for now is that prices for the hatch will start at P763,000. That makes it significantly cheaper than its big rival the Honda Jazz, which sells for a minimum of P847,000.
The design is a sleek one, and sports many elements that we guess were inspired by models from other brands. It's got Nissan GT-R-like headlights, a C-Pillar similar to that of the Nissan Juke, and a front fascia that mimics the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe. Those are some pretty impressive pegs, if you ask us.
We'll be on hand for the official launch, so we'll share with you guys all the other specs and features once the information is available. Who's excited to see the new Swift?
