Video: Check out the all-new Mazda 3 hatchback\'s global launch

Last week, we reported that Mazda had just revealed the all-new 3 hatchback. What we didn\'t know then was that the revelation was apparently on a global scale since the Japanese carmaker supposedly launched the car simultaneously in five locations around the world.

Besides the North American market--which will be the first to receive the all-new 3 hatchback--Mazda also held launch ceremonies in Australia, Russia, England and Turkey. Each venue had its own gimmick, with Australia, for example, doing a live CAD demonstration.

The video features Mazda North America design director Derek Jenkins explaining the different styling elements of the 3. What got our attention, however, was the accompanying photos as Jenkins explained the driver-centric cockpit.

Too bad we\'ll have to wait for next year to get our hands on this car.
