While all eyes will be on the American carmaker's Trax small SUV at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Chevrolet will also display two models that are available in the Philippines and updated specifically for European customers.
First is the Spark, which now sports a redesigned dual-port grille and front bumper as well as restyled headlamp covers and foglamps to give it "a fresh new face." Redesigned 14- and 15-inch alloy wheels also give the Spark a sportier, more grown-up stance. At the back, the center high-mounted LED stop lamp has been integrated into the spoiler above the window, improving rear visibility for the driver. As for the interior, new decor elements and a remodeled center console with enhanced storage round out the updates.
The Orlando, meanwhile, gets a third engine in the form of a 1.4-liter turbo gasoline mill that puts out 138hp and 200Nm of twist to complement the 1.8-liter gasoline and 2.0-liter diesel engines that are already available for the compact MPV (at least in Europe). The Orlando will now also have an engine start/stop system and a six-speed manual transmission.
Do you think Chevrolet's Philippine-market distributor, The Covenant Car Company Inc., should offer these updates soon?
