Fil-Swiss race car driver Marlon Stockinger crashes in Spain

Next race set for June
May 24, 2011

Marlon Stockinger, the Filipino-Swiss race car driver, failed to reach the checkered flag in Barcelona, Spain, after he hit another car at the beginning of the race.

Stockinger is safe but he was quoted telling ABS-CBN that it was the worst accident he was ever involved in.

"It didn't feel hard at all. It felt okay but it was only when I looked over it and I saw the missing wheels," Stockinger said. "Sobra yung damage. It's the first time that I didn't bring back my car with all four wheels."

Despite this setback, Stockinger still has his eyes on racing a Formula 1 car in the future.

Stockinger will race again in June, this time in Valencia, Spain.
