Ford Motor Company has announced that its new-car sales in the US in January totaled 131,589 units, an 8.3-percent improvement from the same month last year (121,511 units). The biggest sellers for the brand were the F-Series (38,493), the Escape (17,259), the Focus (14,400), the Fusion (13,614) and the Explorer (9,966).
"January started off with solid sales versus year-ago levels," said Ken Czubay, Ford vice president for marketing, sales and service. "The Escape continued its record-setting run, and the Focus set the pace for car sales in California, Texas and the Southeast."
