Options for Filipino motorists looking for vehicles which may be driven for private and commercial use just expanded with Foton Motor Philippines' recent launch of new vehicles in the local market.
Those looking for an affordable van as a fleet or service vehicle should check out the Foton View (in photo), a 15-seater vehicle. The Foton View is powered by the same high-torque 2.8-CRDi engine that's packed in the 10-seater MP-X. It is also Euro III-compliant, making it one of the most environment-friendly vans in the market today.
If you're in the market for a light-duty truck but find the cost of Japan-made units too expensive, Foton's new Tornado 2.5 truck should suit your needs. Available in either drop side, cab and chassis or aluminum van configuration, the six-wheeler Tornado 2.5 is powered by a 3.5-liter (confusing, we know) turbo-intercooler diesel engine that lets it carry a heavy payload of up to 2500kg.
"The Blizzard and MP-X are already doing well for us so we're expecting that the launch of the View and the Tornado 2.5 will help us bolster our sales even further," said Jam Santiano, Foton Motor Philippine's national dealer development manager.
