Ssangyong is drumming up the excitement for its new concept vehicle, the XIV-1 crossover, and for good reason. Ssangyong says the XIV-1 got its name from the phrase "eXciting user Interface Vehicle."

According to Ssangyong, the XIV-1 concept allows the car to focus on its interaction with the driver and passenger.

Not much detail was shared about the Ssangyong XIV-1, which was previously known as the XUV-1, so perhaps we should just wait for the actual revelation on September 13.

Meanwhile, Ssangyong is also preparing to launch the SUT-1 pickup truck, which was revealed in its concept form at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011.

"Applying modern design techniques to the traditional pickup body, this stylish sports-utility truck perfectly presents the dynamism and strength of the Ssangyong brand," the Korean company said in a statement. "Balancing the need for load volume and attractive lines, SUT-1 is the ideal vehicle for a wide variety of drivers who enjoy leisure activities such as camping, skiing and cycling or just need a hardworking truck."
