Itching to get the all-new BMW X1? If you dilly-dallied on buying following the sport-ute's launch last month, you may have to wait until March to get your unit.

Asian Carmakers Corp., the exclusive distributor of BMW cars in the Philippines, has already placed its order for the next batch of BMW X1 sport-utility vehicles after it proved to be a big hit in the local market.

The X1 under BMW's Sport Activity Vehicle lineup was launched at P3.89 million. Asian Carmakers aftersales director Juan Antonio Francia said the distributor placed an initial order of 12 units for the Philippine market.

Asian Carmakers marketing director Maricar Parco said more BMW X1 units will arrive in March.

The BMW X1 available in the Philippines is a five-seater SUV powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine.
