Fuel prices to drop by as much as P1

(Updated) Oil firms are cutting pump prices by as much as P1 in the next few hours.

The price reduction is in line with the drop of fuel costs in the international market, the oil firms said in separate text messages.

Seaoil will initiate the oil price rollback at 10 p.m. today. It will cut the price of its G5 Extreme Premium, Extreme 97, unleaded gasoline, diesel and kerosene by P1; and its regular gasoline by 50 centavos.

The country's "big three" will follow suit at 12:01 a.m. on September 8.

Chevron (formerly Caltex) Philippines will cut the nationwide price of its Gold, Silver, E10, diesel and kerosene products by P1 while it will slash 50 centavos off its regular gasoline price.

Petron is also taking P1 off Blaze, XCS, Xtra, DieselMax and kerosene by P1; and 50 centavos off its regular gasoline.

Pilipinas Shell will also implement a P1 rollback on its super unleaded E10, unleaded premium, V-Power, diesel and kerosene; and a 50-centavo cut on the price of its regular gasoline.
