In line with its Blue Skies campaign that aims at providing environment-friendly cars and services in a sustainable society, Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) recently named Honda Cars Global City as its first certified Green Dealer.
As a Green Dealer, Honda Cars Global City has met HCPI’s environmental requirements both in and out of the showroom.
"The Green Dealership Program exemplifies Honda's unyielding environmental commitment and global direction to provide good products to our customers with speed, affordability and low carbon dioxide emissions," said Tatsuya Natsume, Honda Cars Philippines president and general manager.
To get the certification, a Honda dealer should be implementing a two-step program. The first program involves proper waste management, recycling, basic safety, use of protective equipment and compliance to legal requirements. The second step involves the community as it considers a dealership's corporate-social responsibility projects as well as energy and environmental conservation.
"We take into serious consideration the impact of our operations to the environment. And so we show our utmost support by improving our business operations processes to help address the growing environmental issues," said Ramon Zialcita, branch manager of Honda Cars Global City.
