When it comes to endorsements, few recommendations are better than knowing the government trusts a car brand to transport foreign dignitaries. In BMW’s case, it has recently been tasked by the Department of Foreign Affairs to serve as the VIP mobility shuttle for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) event to be hosted by the Philippines next year.

As the official premium mobility partner of the prestigious forum, official BMW distributor Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC) will provide a fleet of 7-Series long-wheelbase sedans, as well as 5-Series units in sedan and Gran Turismo variants. Over 200 BMWs will be used to shuttle heads of state, government officials, dignitaries, and private sector leaders from 21 APEC member economies.

"As the preferred mobility provider for APEC 2015, we aim to ensure a positive experience among delegates by offering the best models in our portfolio," said ACC president Maricar Parco. "We have especially commissioned cars that uphold the global BMW standards of safety and performance to support the government's efforts in driving economic growth in the Philippines and the region."

According to the press statement, on top of the usual discussions to promote a healthy economic landscape, the next APEC Summit will conduct dialogues on regional strategies to foster sustainability in the automotive industry.

So, if you want to feel like a powerful VIP, you know what cars to buy.
