Brembo now officially available in PH, supports local motorsports

Car guys can rejoice because Brembo is now officially available in the Philippines through AutoPerformance Ph, the brand\'s authorized local distributor. During Brembo\'s recent launch at the distributor\'s office, it was also announced that the brand had already jumped straight into the local motorsports scene by supporting a handful of our own race drivers. In fact, the Brembo-equipped race cars of Jomari Yllana, JP Tuason and Richard Bodestyne were proudly on display.

Brembo regional manager Kenichi Yano was at the ceremony, and we got to chat with him about motorsports. \"We realized that we must do something for Asian countries,\" he said. He told us that the Philippine motorsports scene is emerging, but in Japan it is shrinking. Despite our very small racing community, it is a blessing that a big-name brand like Brembo is showing its support.

\"We need all of the sponsors that we can get,\" said Jomari Yllana. \"It\'s a big deal that Brembo is here, and racing is only going to get better. We are here to support the entire racing industry, and not just my team.\"

\"When it comes to our team and our programs, we only want to work with the best, to offer the best performance to our students and our sponsors, and have the best results in the races,\" shared JP Tuason. \"Having Brembo come into the country helps the profile of local motorsports, and that\'s what we need. We need a shot in the arm after what\'s happened in the last few weeks. I\'m glad Brembo is still supporting us, and I\'m glad that they haven\'t been turned off. I wish the company more power.\"

\"We believe that motorsports is the root of our love for cars,\" said Francis Aguila of AutoPerformance Ph. His company supports drivers from the grassroots level like Circuit Showdown, all the way to the Philippine GT300 Series.

\"I wish we could support every driver out there,\" Aguila said in closing. In any case, Brembo\'s presence in local motorsports is already a huge deal. We can only count on the scene to become even more vibrant.
