Doing our country proud
Nov 17, 2013

Two Filipinos stood proud above their counterparts across the ASEAN region when Chevrolet held its 2013 Best of the Bests competition at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 17.

Staged for the American carmaker\'s ASEAN markets, the Best of the Bests program is designed to showcase the level of technical skills and aftersales service of its growing network of dealerships throughout the region. The competition featured representatives from eight countries--Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and host Thailand--who vied for the best service adviser and parts consultant awards. The winners were judged based on their performance and aptitude in various tests, which included written exams, situational discussions and case simulations.

The end of the daylong competition saw Chevrolet Pasig\'s Rogelio Alvarez Jr. bagging the best parts consultant award and Chevrolet Pampanga\'s Kristel Galang earning first runner-up honors in the service adviser category.

\"We are extremely proud of this accomplishment, and we at The Covenant Car Company Inc. and our 20 dealer partners shall strive even harder to maintain, if not surpass, the standards of excellence and quality that Chevrolet has long stood for,\" said TCCCI senior vice president and national aftersales service director Rose Dimalanta. TCCCI is the authorized distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in the Philippines.

Congratulations, guys. Now more than ever, we need to show the world that we are indeed the best of the very best.
