The growing number of Chevrolet Trailblazers on the streets is proof that the midsize SUV is fast becoming popular with today\'s consumers. Well, it seems The Covenant Car Company Inc., the authorized distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in the Philippines, isn\'t resting on its laurels since not only has it upgraded the Trailblazer\'s power output, it is now also offering a new 4x2 variant, bringing the total number of Trailblazer variants to three.

The newest variant is the 2.8-liter Trailblazer LT 4x2, which, with its six-speed automatic transmission, straddles the line between the 2.5-liter LT 4x2 with the six-speed manual and the 2.8-liter LTZ 4x4.

The biggest news is the power upgrade, with the 2.5-liter engine now producing 163hp and 380Nm, while the 2.8-liter mill now puts out 200hp and 500Nm.

The prices of the upgraded Chevrolet Trailblazer are now:

* 2.5 Trailblazer LT 4x2 (MT) - P1,378,888

* 2.8 Trailblazer LT 4x2 (AT) - P1,488,888

* 2.8 Trailblazer LTZ 4x4 (AT) - P1,733,888
