After committing to create 500,000 livelihood opportunities, Grab Philippines is going a few steps further with a new skill and safety development center for its drivers, riders, and merchant-partners. This will be a new and improved successor to the current Grab Partner Center.

Named the Grab Asenso Center, the 1.5-hectare facility will be a hub for safety training, upskilling, and collaboration. Riders and partners from Move-It will also be welcomed at the center, and its programs.

Located in Marikina City, one of the most prominent aspects of the Grab Asenso Center is its road safety training and assessment area. This gives Grab and Move-It partners consistent safety training that is aligned with the latest rules and regulations from government agencies—further ensuring the safety of Grab passengers.

The Grab Asenso Center will also help partners upskill, not only their driving, but their capacity for new technology and digital literacy. Being an online platform, Grab believes one of the keys to success for its partners is a thorough knowledge of its platform and regular discussions about new digital opportunities.

Department of Transportation secretary, Jaime Bautista commented on the opening of the Grab Asenso Center saying, “App-based platforms like Grab are key drivers of inclusive growth, bridging technology and opportunity. Initiatives such as the Grab Asenso Center complement our efforts to modernize mobility while creating more dignified and sustainable livelihoods for transport workers. We look forward to seeing its impact on building a safer and more professional transportation network.”

Grab Philippines, along with the DOTr and other governing agencies strive to uplift all Grab users in an ever-growing digital era. The Grab Asenso Center is scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2025.
