Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Grab looks like it's literally cooking up something different this Chinese New Year. Instead of just offering passengers a special promo code or discounted rates during the holiday, the app-based transport provider will be giving out Chinese food. Nice.

A special Grab food truck with a Fire Rooster theme will be deployed in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to give out legit Chinese dishes like dumplings and kikiam to Grab passengers. The promo will be available at C1 Central Square, Bonifacio High Street from January 25 to 27, 11am to 5pm. It's the company's way of greeting its customers Kung Hei Fat Choi.

Chances are not everyone is going to catch the food truck, so Grab is also letting its patrons order Chinese grub with GrabExpress. Grab users looking to take advantage of this special promo must be located in BGC, and all they have to do is select the special Grab Chinese New Year icon in their smartphone's Grab app. Users should input the same pickup and drop off points as well as the CNY promo code to qualify, after which all there is to do is wait for the delivery to arrive. Sounds simple enough.

Frankly, all this fuss over the Year of the Rooster is relatively tame for a company which once allowed customers to book a horse. Anyone else looking forward to some Chinese food?
