Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), one of the country's leading truck and bus manufacturers for more than 40 years, is starting the year with the environment in mind.
The company launched its latest truck and bus lineup powered by Euro 4-compliant engines. The event featured a handful of new vehicles, including dump trucks, vans, the Cerito and Grandeza bus models, as well as a promising new air-conditioned jeepney prototype.
HMP chairman Vicente Mills Jr. shared that the current boom in infrastructure and rise in domestic travel present the perfect opportunity for the company to bring in the aforementioned vehicles. "Any increase in the movement of people will require the services of modern buses," he said. "Further, fleet replacement in compliance with Euro 4 and such requirements will translate into more sales."
The executive added that HMP couldn't be more honored to be providing the country with quality trucks, buses and other vehicles "designed to address the different needs of Filipinos in the most efficient way possible."
HMP's shift to greener engines follows Isuzu's move to equip its lineup, including the MU-X and D-Max pickup truck, with Euro 4-compliant engines. Let's hope everyone else follows suit.
