In November 2014, we reported that Isuzu Philippines Corporation's backlog for the Isuzu MU-X had reached three months just two months after its launch in the local market. To address the demand, IPC increased its shipment of its midsize SUV from around 500 units a month to 700.
Well, Isuzu customers who are still waiting for their MU-X can breathe a sigh of relief. According to IPC executive vice president Takashi Tomita, the Japanese carmaker sees the Philippine market's demand for the SUV to stabilize soon.
"Our MU-X backlog is around 2,000 units," Tomita told TopGear.com.ph today during a lunch meeting. "But we hope to normalize the supply before the end of March."
So, if you're still waiting for your MU-X, it looks like you only have a little more than a month left to wait for it.
