After much excitement, the British icon has finally arrived in Cebu. Coinciding with the opening of the new dealership yesterday was the launch of the all-new Mini Hatch.
Mini Philippines (aka British United Automobiles) president Willy Tee Ten and Mini Asia head Preecha Ninatkiattikul turned over the Mini plaque to Mini Cebu president Kris Lyndon Go and vice president Brian Chua. Mini Cebu is located along A.S. Fortuna Street in Mandaue City, in case you want to pay it a visit.
"Congratulations to Lyndon and Brian for the opening of the new Mini dealership here in Cebu," said Tee Ten. "I am sure we will see many of these iconic cars on your roads very, very soon."
"Mini is an icon and one of the very few brands in the world that can be recognized by just a single word--Mini," Chua shared. "We feel very fortunate to be the ones to introduce this classic and premium brand to Cebu. Mini has never left Cebu. For as long as I can remember, there have always been classic Minis running here. And every time I see them, they never fail to make me smile. I’m sure most of my fellow Cebuanos will agree with me on that."
Also present at the launch were Mini Philippines vice president Michael Cua and general manager Ryan Watson.
Cebuanos have been anticipating the arrival of Mini. So far, 12 units have been sold and reservations have been placed for the new Cooper and Cooper S.
