The numbers from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) for the first quarter of the year are up, and it looks like the Philippine automotive industry is continuing its steady growth.

In Q1, there were 117,074 total vehicles sold, up 6.8% from 109,606 unit sales in the same period last year. Also worth noting in CAMPI’s report is that electrified vehicles (xEVs) have also ramped up in sales, accounting for 5.73% of the grand total. Breaking it down further, 86% of total xEV sales are comprised of hybrid electric vehicles.
