Wagons rule. We’ll never not say that. But no matter what we think, it’s true that these long five-door vehicles are a dying breed.
That being said, there are still a good number of station wagons alive and kicking in our market today, especially from European carmakers. Heck, they even make plenty of sporty wagons on that side of the globe.
What’s with all the wagon talk? Well, for some reason, rumors about a new Lexus wagon have started circulating. While it’s not making headlines, there are still talks about it nonetheless. And when rumors get out, concept renders follow suit. That’s exactly what you’re looking at here: a five-door IS created by social media channel The Lowered.

It looks really, really good. Like really good. We’re drooling. We’ve always been fans of the IS and its stylish design, but in wagon form, it just looks a lot sexier. And we don’t even get a proper look at the rear end yet.
While no possible engine details were shared, we can’t help but imagine what powertrains could be put under the hood. We won’t be surprised if an IS wagon actually materializes and Lexus opts for a hybrid system, but we’d love to see the 3.5-liter V6 or even the 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 in something like this.
