BJ Mercantile, the official distributor of Scania commercial vehicles in the Philippines, has officially opened the Swedish truckmaker's showroom and service center.
Located at 1132 EDSA in Balintawak, Quezon City, the Scania dealership occupies over 1,000sqm and can accommodate as many as 30 trucks. The showroom itself can fit eight trucks, and it serves as the corporate office for Scania Philippines. The service area behind it has three bays. Other amenities include a driver's lounge, tools room, service reception area, assembly area, and a stockroom.
Scania Philippines reportedly puts a premium on after-sales service, such that it is committed to servicing and returning a client's vehicle within a prescribed time frame.
"All of our local technicians have been sent to Malaysia for training, and we strictly adhere to all of Scania's maintenance and service protocols to make sure the trucks of our customers are in perfect running condition," said BJ Mercantile vice president Leilani Lim-Tan. "We also have a large inventory of parts to reduce downtime for our customers."
Currently on display at the showroom are Scania's G-Series of trucks, which, according to the distributor, "are perfect for petroleum haulers and for those in the construction and mining business."
"We already have a lot of units available, so interested customers don't need to wait months to get their truck," Lim-Tan added. "We also offer any type of customization, from the size of the cabin to the color of the truck and the fabric of the seats, but these will be on a pre-order basis."
Other than trucks, Scania Philippines is also marketing generators for industrial use.
