Motor Image Pilipinas, the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country, is showing its appreciation to its customers \"for their continuous support to the Subaru brand\" by holding its first-ever Tanabata Festival at its Greenhills and Global City showrooms from July 19 to July 21, from 9am to 8pm.
Originating from the Chinese Qixi Festival, the Tanabata Festival is a Japanese star festival. The festival celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, who are represented by the stars Vega and Altair, respectively. Legend says that the Milky Way separates the lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar. The date of the Tanabata varies, but the celebration is held in days between July and August.
For MIP, the three-day celebration gives customers once-in-a-blue-moon cash rebate incentives and financing schemes on all Subaru models offered through its bank partners. The showrooms will have festive decoration similar to that of Japan\'s. In addition, free authentic Japanese dishes will be available in several food carts at the showrooms.
\"Our business growth for the first six months of the year is 87% compared with the same period last year,\" said MIP general manager Mike Luyun. \"This is a record-breaking performance since Motor Image Pilipinas started its operations. We will continue our efforts to make sure that we give excellent customer service as well as expand our networks in key cities to further reach Subaru fans.\"
So, which Subaru model are you planning to get when you attend MIP\'s Tanabata Festival?
