Earlier this year, Suzuki Philippines (SPI) kicked off its golden 50th anniversary celebration with a massive media drive that extended into an exciting boat ride, courtesy of the brand’s marine division.

And last week, SPI brought the celebration to its constituents and loyal customers, as the Suzuki Masturi 2025 opened at the SM Mall of Asia. Matsuri is the Japanese word for ‘festival,’ and SPI welcomed all to celebrate with them.

The festival showcased the best that SPI has to offer across its three divisions. In terms of motorcycles, three V-Strom models of varying displacements were showcased at the ‘Adventure Zone,’ along with the Jimny five-door, and a couple of speedboat engines that instantly made us miss the rides from that media drive.

On the other side of the floor was the Sport Zone, which had the Hayabusa, Gixxer, and the XL7 Hybrid on display. Interestingly, the three-door version of the Jimny was also at the Sport Zone, with two DF350 HP speedboat engines. Talk about spirited riding, driving, and sailing.

Rounding out the Suzuki Village was the Urban Zone, which featured the fashionable side of SPI’s lineup. The new Suzuki Dzire Hybrid was the car of choice for this side of the display, along with the Burgman scooters.

However, at the center of the celebration was the preview of the all-new Suzuki Fronx, which is scheduled to make its official debut later this year. SPI is throwing its name back in the subcompact crossover segment once more, and this time it’ll be with its mild-hybrid powertrain.

The Suzuki Village was open all weekend long last week, and it served as the destination for one of SPI’s biggest rides yet. From 10th Avenue, Caloocan, over 1,300 Suzuki riders rode together to celebrate the 50 years that SPI has been in service. Riding the whole length of EDSA, and finally meeting at SM MOA. It was a grand sight to see, and worthy of a golden celebration.
