Suzuki Philippines has strengthened its commitment to environmental conservation through a baby turtle release activity with the Pawikan Conservation Center. The event took place in Morong, Bataan, where volunteers guided 8,713 hatchlings as they made their first strides into the West Philippine Sea.
In September 2025, the Japanese automaker sponsored 100 turtle nests, which protected and nurtured almost 9,500 eggs. A brand-new Jimny unit was also donated to the conservation center to help in monitoring efforts.

Almost five months later, employees and volunteers received first-hand experience in environmental conservation as they dug through the included nests to carefully collect hatchlings. Those newborn turtles were eventually situated on the shoreline, where they quickly inched into the water.

Suzuki then expressed its desire to conduct more collaborations with the Pawikan Conservation Center, further reaffirming its support for the country’s ecosystems.

We hope to see more sustainability efforts from the brand this year, and it could include the launch of its first fully electric vehicle. Rumors and reports have circulated regarding the potential debut of the e-Vitara, but no official confirmation has been shared.
In 2025, Suzuki added two mild-hybrid vehicles to its stable, bolstering its electrified offerings. Perhaps 2026 is the year the carmaker goes fully electric in the Philippines.
