Suzuki Philippines (SPH) had a stellar outing in 2025, ending the year in a solid third place among CAMPI members. It did end the fourth quarter strong, opening it up with the arrival of the all-new Fronx.
It appears the Japanese carmaker will be riding this momentum heading into 2026, as it looks like it’s gearing up for another big launch: the e-Vitara. The new electrified crossover has just been added to the Department of Energy’s list of recognized electric vehicles.

We’d like to think this will come sooner rather than later, as the entry on the DOE’s website actually links out to the official SPH website, where the e-Vitara is already listed. Luckily for us, Suzuki has also shared the specs of its first-ever EV.

The e-Vitara will be powered by a single motor that churns out 172hp and 193Nm of torque. It can supposedly do 0-100kph in 8.7sec and have a maximum range of 426km of range on a single charge. Other things to note, it’ll come with advanced driver-assist systems that include lane-departure prevention and lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring.
We tried reaching out to Suzuki Philippines for word on the possible launch date and image pricing, if there is any, but we’ve yet to receive a response. When we do, we’ll keep you posted. But if we were to take a guess, this could make its official debut at the upcoming Manila International Auto Show.
